Hejiang Village

This is the only way for Fu Su to get to the Miao territories and there is no main quest.

Side quest 1: Fu Su talks to the head of the village and learns that the whole village has been affected by a horrible black magic. A wizard named Zong Da alleges that Kun Pu has done this. Then Fu Su begins his investigation and finally realizes that the black magic is actually caused by Zong Da. So Fu Su, along with Kun Pu, kills Zong Da. Then Kun Pu, a wizard, will be available to join. Fu Su also removes the curse upon three innocent villagers. Alternatively, Fu Su can believe Zong Da’s words and kill Kun Pu.

Cloud Valley

Fu Su finally gets to the Miao territories and Cloud Valley. Once Fu Su gets there, a man named Yan Jiang suggests Fu Su kidnap a girl called Yin Zhu and blackmail her father to get the Gold-toad Pearl. Fu Su rejects his plan and kills him. Then when Fu Su meets Yin Zhu, she will give Fu Su the Gold-toad Pearl as a gift and Fu Su can recruit her. Alternatively, Fu Su can kill Yin Zhu according to Yan Jiang’s scheme and can get the Pearl this way.

Side quest 1: Fu Su finds two bottles of Monkey-fruit Wine inside an ancient tree. The wine can be used to accomplish two quests in Taishan Mountain and Pengcheng respectively.

Side quest 2: If Fu Su has given the Monkey-fruit Wine to the old man in Pengcheng and got the treasure map from Ding Xun, he can now find a secret cave in Cloud Valley. The Earth-fire Stone, which is needed to finish Wu Xin’s quest, and a high-level weapon, the Huge Pan Gu Axe, are hidden in this cave. These enemies inside are very tough. So Fu Su can let an assassin, who runs fast, retrieve thetwo objects. After Fu Su’s party gets out, Song Ji, the old man to whom Fu Su gave the Monkey-fruit Wine, and Ding Xun will appear in front of them. Fu Su realizes that he has been used by the two men to get the treasure out. If Fu Su has ever obtained a doctor in Handan for Ding Xun before, Ding Xun will be appreciative towards Fu Su and will leave the battle. If not, Fu Su then will fight against the two men.

Wuhua Village

There is no main quest in this scene.

Side quest 1: After a long adventure, Fu Su has to sleep in an inn. But in the middle of the night, Fu Su is woken up by a huge noise from the room next to his. He goes into the room and finds the innkeeper has been killed by a huge stone which had fallen down on him. The greedy Magistrate asks Fu Su to find out the murderer within three days or he will be severely fined. Then Fu Su begins his investigation and he visits Zhao Laifu, some waiters, Xiaocui and some other villagers one by one. Finally, Fu Su realizes that the murder was committed by Zhao Laifu and Xiaocui. But he also learns that the dead innkeeper was thoroughly immoral and deserved his fate. Then in the court, Fu Su rescues the two accused persons.

Side quest 2: Once Fu Su enters Wuhua Village, he sees a street entertainment. But Fu Su shouldn’t talk to him right away. Instead, Fu Su makes a bet with a villager that the street entertainer’s hammer is a fake. Then Fu Su buys the hammer from the street entertainer and returns to the villager. In this way, Fu Su can win the bet and gets more rewards. Of course, Fu Su can talk to the street entertainer first and defeat him later, but this is not the best choice.

Side quest 3: Fu Su talks to a villager in the north of the village and gets a quest to defeat a rascal.

Side quest 4: In the temple southeast of the village, the sacrifice wizard needs some wheat cakes and holy winter peaches to carry out the prayer ceremony. These are all common things and it’s easy to buy them from a shop.

Hanzhong Prefecture

Side quest 1: A hunter is always complaining about his hunting trap. Fu Su then makes a new one for him.

Side quest 2: Xiao Li’s husband has been forced to construct the Great Wall and has recently written to his wife saying he is going to assassinate the Khan of the Huns himself. Xiao Li is uneducated and cannot read the letter. The other villagers all conceal the truth from her because her husband is not expected to come back. But what should Fu Su do?

Chapter 5 Secret of the First Emperor’s Tomb

After getting the Gold-toad Pearl and (at least) one of the seven swords, Fu Su goes direct to Lishan Mountain without hesitation. In two secret rooms, Fu Su annihilates two monster-like devices and gets the Tiger-tally with characters embossed and the Tiger-tally with characters engraved, the keys to the tomb’s main chamber. After thorough inspection, Fu Su is shocked to discover his father has been murdered. Some evidence points to his brother Hu Hai. Then Fu Su heads for Xianyang again.

Side quest 1: Leaving the First Emperor’s tomb, Fu Su goes east and sees a group of soldiers chasing a man named Fang Zhong. Fu Su helps the man kill all the troops and then Fang Zhong will be available to join.

Chapter 6 Seeking Reinforcements

Fu Su goes to Xianyang once again and learns from General Huan Feng that the eunuch Zhao Gao is the evil manipulator behind everything. And Zhao Gao is planning to remove the Prime Minister, Li Si, his last remaining rival at court. Taking Huan Feng’s advice, Fu Su represses the impulse to confront Zhao Gao immediately. Huan Feng also suggests that Fu Su take advantage of the rebel armies to counteract Zhao Gao’s power. Then Fu Su heads for Xishui Village to visit the rebel army led by Zhou Wen.

Xishui Village

When Fu Su meets Zhou Wen, he learns that Zhou Wen’s army is in danger of being annihilated by Qin troops. So Fu Su accepts Zhou Wen’s request to go Chencheng to request reinforcements.

Side quest 1: In a civilian house, a middle-aged woman asks Fu Su to bring her little daughter back.

Side quest 2: Fu Su learns that the village chief is enthralled by the beauty of Qiu Shui. After Fu Su returns from Chencheng, her husband has died and the village chief wants to bury Qiu Shui alive with her dead husband. Fu Su reveals the village chief’s crime of murdering Qiu Shui’s husband in public and then the furious villagers kill the murderer. But in order to change the established rule of burying the surviving wife alive with her dead husband, Fu Su has to kill the monster in the hills.

Chencheng

After getting to Chencheng, Fu Su goes direct to visit Chen Sheng, but Chen Sheng is unwilling to rescue Zhou Wen. Fu Su then suggests letting Wu Chen send out reinforcements. After hearing that, Chen Sheng bristles with anger and dismisses Fu Su. Later Fu Su learns from Chen Sheng’s adviser, Cai Ci, that Wu Chen has acclaimed himself a king and his family has been captured by Chen Sheng. Then Fu Su first rescues Wu Chen’s family and visits Chen Sheng again. This time Chen Sheng takes Fu Su’s advice and sends him to Wu Chen as an envoy.

Side quest 1: In the city, Fu Su helps an old man to solve the mystery of a strange sound from his house.

Side quest 2: Fu Su visits Mao Lin for the Cedar. But Mao Lin tells Fu Su that he has promised it to his neighbor in exchange for an asthma cure. Then Fu Su persuades the neighbor to give him the asthma cure for free.

Side quest 3: At the front door of Chen Sheng’s residence, Fu Su accepts a girl’s quest to get backher treasure. This quest can be triggered only after Fu Su completes the quest in Dangshan Mountain to retrieve a jade pendant for the woodsman.

Handan

After getting to Handan, Fu Su goes direct to visit Wu Chen, but Wu Chen is also unwilling to help Zhou Wen and even puts Fu Su under house arrest. But Fu Su kills the guards and escapes. On the way back to Chencheng, Fu Su hears the news that Zhou Wen’s army has been defeated by Qin troops. Then Fu Su decides to visit another rebel army led by Liu Bang.

Side quest 1: In a civilian house, Fu Su meets Chunyu Qiu, his teacher Chunyu Yue’s daughter, and learns that her father has disobeyed the order of the First Emperor and kept a large number of classic books. If Fu Su answers all of her questions correctly, she will give Fu Su all the classics and then commit suicide. (Fu Su can learn all the answers from a scholar in the next house.) Then Fu Su finds an antidote from a wandering doctor and rescues Chunyu Qiu. Then Chunyu Qiu will be available to join.

Side quest 2: In the inn of Pengcheng, if Fu Su has given an old man a bottle of Monkey-fruit Wine and demanded nothing in return, the old man will tell Fu Su to go Handan to get a treasure map from Ding Xun. When Fu Su finds Ding Xun, Ding Xun is ill. Helping him or not is up to Fu Su, but the game will develop in different ways. Anyway, Fu Su will learn from Ding Xun some treasures are hidden in a cave in Cloud Valley.

Side quest 3: Fu Su learns from a merchant at the entrance of the inn in Handan that Liu Yan has bought a rare treasure. Then Fu Su talks to Liu Yan and promises to take the treasure back to his home in Fengxian County.Side quest 4: Fu Su accepts the treasure merchant’s quest to seek Monster Nafu's Hoof.

Chapter 7 Take Over Fengxian County

Fengxian County

Fu Su meets Liu Bang outside Fengxian County and learns Liu Bang’s subordinate Yong Chi has betrayed Liu Bang. Liu Bang has fought hard and lost many troops but still cannot take back the city. Then Fu Su accepts Liu Bang’s commission to request reinforcements from Xiang Liang in Xuecheng. After fulfilling the commission, Fu Su helps Liu Bang once again and enters the city secretly and kills Yong Chi. After his army seizes the city, Liu Bang decides to join Xiang Liang.

Side quest 1: In He Ji’s house, Fu Su promises to persuade her husband to give up gambling. Fu Su finds He Ji in the inn and kills two rascals there. But if Fu Su talks to He Ji first, Fu Su can have another option to accept his quest to kill his wife. And Fu Su will get different rewards accordingly.

Side quest 2: Fu Su kills a rascal named Han Ji in the city for the sake of the civilians. But this quest must be finished before Fu Su kills Yong Chi.
