Dagger-axe
|
Thick-blade dagger-axe
|
|
By thickening the blade of an ordinary dagger-axe
its Attack-power is increased, but this weapon cannot be withdrawn
quickly and therefore you will be defenseless before the enemy
for the time it takes for withdrawal. This is an obvious weakness
of this weapon and until today it is still a mystery why this
weapon was widely used in battles at that time. |

Mount. Xiao dagger-axe
|
 |
In 627 BC, King Mu of Qin sent Senior General
Meng Mingshi to make a stealth attack on the Zheng State and,
unfortunately, they were deceived into withdrawing by a businessman
by the name of Xian Gao with trickery. On the way back, the
Qin troops were very tired, and they were surrounded by the
troops of the Jin State. They completely collapsed except for
the commander. King Mu of the Qin State felt shame about this
defeat, so he kept training troops and making high quality weapons
to prepare for battle. The dagger-axe was the weapon commonly
used by the troops of Qin. Finally, in 624 BC, King Mu of the
Qin State commanded his troops and vanquished the Jin State.
So he avenged the Qin State eventually. |
