Iron lance
|
|
In the late Warring States period, people in
each state improved the ruggedness and toughness of the dagger-axe
with wrought iron instead of bronze. The blade of the lance
became much sharper because of using more advanced casting techniques.
As a result the weapon became even more powerful and destructive. |
| Pingzhou lance |
 |
Pingzhou was the largest weapon storeroom of
the Qin State. The Bird-pattern lance was created during the
rule of Ying Zheng, the King of Qin. There are three holes on
the far side opposite to the blade, which were used to fasten
the wooden handle with the metal part. The middle of the metal
part curves upwards moderately, and both the upper and lower
sides are sharp blades, so this weapon is very powerful and
destructive. |
